Rules to participating in The Crimson Battlefield
« Thread Started on Dec 6, 2003, 3:47am »

*No Godmodding.

*Absolutely no invincibility or immortality. No one can have only one weakness, ie Kryptonite, or something ridiculous like that. Regeneration and healing are accepted, but keep it limited. No regenerating a full arm or some other vital part in a single post.

*Fighters must be original characters. You can't be someone from a comic or a movie, but you can have skills close to that character, and can use an original
character that ties into the storyline of said comic or movie.
(If this rule is violated you will be sent a private message with a warning, and be given 24 hours to edit your character's profile. If within 24 hours the profile is not changed, it will be deleted.)

*For flexibility, you can create up to 8 Fighters. You cannot use more than one of your Fighters in the same Battle, however, unless agreed upon with the other participants.
(Your fight's judge must be aware of this prior to the battle's start.)

*Fighters can only have a certain number of weapons. No huge nuclear missiles or anything like that. You can have up to 10 weapons, but can only carry up to 8 in battle. You can have 6 Primary techniques and 4 Special techniques. Primary techniques are things like small fireball attacks. They can be used an unlimited number of times if you wish. Special techniques are pretty self-explanatory.
(If this rule is violated you will be sent a private message with a warning, and be given 24 hours to edit your character's profile. If within 24 hours the profile is not changed, it will be deleted.)

*If a character can transform into a kaiju (giant) size or summon something kaiju size, it can only attack if the opponent has something similar.

*Fighters will take turns delivering blows, ie, take turns posting.

*The winner will be declared based on who seems to have more strength or who has taken more damage, unless a Fighter gives up or declares defeat, or if its pretty obvious that one Fighter is pretty much dead. Draws can be made as well. At the end of the fight the judge can make a quick post stating the outcome of the battle.

*If you would like to challenge a Fighter, PM them first, and if they accept, create a topic entitled (name) Vs (name).

*Non combatants are not allowed to post in a Fight topic. Only the Fighters and Judges can post in the fight topics. A discussion topic can be made, if wished.

*The Fighter who sends out the challenge decides where to fight, such as a city, desert, or ship.

*Fights can have up to 4 Fighters. 2 on 2 Fights are acceptable, but not 3 on 1 or any other unfair handicap, unless all fighters agree on it.

*Each Fighter's Description must be put in the beginning posts of the Fight Topic. After both Fighters have posted their character, the fight will begin.

*Each fight must have an authorized judge over seeing the battle. The fight topic MAY NOT be made until an authorized judge has agreed to referee the fight.
After the combatants have posted their character profiles, the judge will post, indicating that the battle is to begin. The current authorized judges are Metal Zombie, Manco, Jimi, Andross and Bagoth.

These rules MAY NOT be changed or broken, in any case, without express permission from myself or one of the Judges. In the event that they are, action will be taken. No exceptions. If you think someone is breaking a rule, notify myself or one of the Judges.

Have fun, and PM me if you have any questions or concerns. Now let's fight!!

Going along with a suggestion by Raptor, it is now OPTIONAL to create a Review/Discussion thread for new characters.

Review topics should be posted in the CALL TO ARMS! Forum. Reviews are made for new characters that might seem a little godmoddish or confusing, and should be posted up BEFORE the new character is added to your roster of fighters. After about a week of getting comments from other CB combatants or when you have the wrinkles in your character ironed out, you may add him/her/it to your roster. Once you do that, the Review topic MUST BE DELETED. Inform a Mod when that time has come if necessary.

Discussion topics go in the IN THE STANDS Forum and are for any CURRENT characters in your roster. They can be deleted whenever you feel they should be.

As usual, any questions, comments, and the like, feel free to PM me and/or any of the other Mods of CB.

To keep things from getting cluttered, and to utilize the Battle archives, all finished battles will be moved to the archives. I think this will work well.

Another update. Manco and I decided that we might need some size restrictions. Since I suck at the metric system and stuff, here's what Manco came up with:

Max Height: 350 ft
Length: 1000 ft
Wingspan (for our Dragons and such): 1500 ft
Weight: 200000 tons

Seem suitable enough? If not, post in the Sidelines forum. Any comments or questions on ANY of the rules are appreciated. I sounded really responsible saying that.
